Telephonics Corporation Awarded a $14.5M Contract from the U.S. General Services Administration for Mobile Surveillance Systems for U.S. Customs and Border Protection

FARMINGDALE, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

Telephonics Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Griffon Corporation (NYSE:GFF) announced today that its Electronic Systems Division was awarded a $14.5M contract from the U.S. General Services Administration on behalf of U.S. Customs and Border Protection to supply Mobile Surveillance Systems (MSS) for the U.S. Border. The MSS provides, for the first time, a fully integrated system including Ground Surveillance Radar, EO/IR sensors, accurate GPS location data along with a Common Operating Picture allowing agents to not only track but to visually identify targets of interest prior to engaging. The entire system is easily deployable and highly mobile making it a cornerstone for any perimeter security requirement.
