FARMINGDALE, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Telephonics Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Griffon Corporation (NYSE:GFF); announced today that it has been awarded a $2M follow-on contract from the U.S. Air Force (USAF) for TruLink(R) Wireless Intercommunication Systems. The TruLink system will be used by Aeromedical Evacuation (AE) teams to provide clear voice communications between team members, thereby enhancing the safe transport and care of patients aboard military aircraft. "We are pleased to continue to provide these systems that enhance the operational safety and capability of the personnel during these critical Aeromedical Evacuation missions", stated Phil Nicholas, President of Telephonics' Communication Systems Division. "The TruLink wireless voice communication system continues to be used across the Army, Navy, Air Force and U.S. Coast Guard to enhance the safety of our military personnel during dangerous and critical operational missions."
